The only thing recently that has disappointed me more than the Target and National Federation of the Blind (NFB) settlement (because it skirted the issue that the ADA needs to be modernized!) was the closure of the UT-Austin Accessibility Institute. I (and many others) considered it one of the most respected accessibility organizations. I sincerely hope the university finds a faculty member to pick up John Slatin's torch and restore this revered institution to its former glory.
