The U.S. Access Board has named the members of the new committee that will update the Section 508 accessibility standards that were written back in 2000, as well as other accessibility guidelines (Section 255). As you would expect, the committee includes a mix of large corporations (Adobe, Apple, IBM, Sun, etc.) and non-profit or government entities. Some surprises on the list include the Paciello Group and the W3C's WAI. In fact, Mike Paciello (you know, who wrote the book, Web Accessibility for People with Disabilities), was named the co-chair of the committee.
